With a crisp professional look, Maurice H. Joseph real estate in Jackson, Mississippi has a great new look after their site renovation. The site now contains much more informative and useful information as well as their property listings directly on the site.
The back-end content managment system was custom built to handle agent profiles and property listings as well as the regular content. It allows for easy update and maintenance of property information and images, as well as an easy way to highlight specific listings on the home page.
This is my first site specifically for children. All of the graphics were drawn by me completely from scratch. Despite a lack of content for the site I tried to make it as fun as possible. For instance, see what happens when you click on the X to download the free songs.
Because this site is part of the larger David Rovics site I was able to connect it into his current content management system. I upgraded it slightly to allow him to upload the .mp3 files himself for download.
Apart from the blue and white representing water and air, the rounded top section of the design was meant to reinforce the water theme and logo and the lower white section which disappears into the white background reinforces the air theme.
The logo was slightly redesigned and completely redrawn in Illustrator. The site also has content management system written in PHP. The CMS allows for all text content to be easily updated throughout the site. A custom built add-on the CMS allows for easy management of their product information and photos. The system could easily be augmented to allow e-commerce transactions of those items if desired in the future.
David is an independant progressive folk musician who has been unfairly criticized for being unpatriotic. For that reason chose to use a Red, White, and Blue patriotic color scheme with distressed textures which I believe together capture the rebellious attitude of David's music.
The site has a highly customized content management system to handle all of the content, mailing list, as well as managing all of his impressive collection of albums, songs, and lyrics. If you're interested he posts all of his music free for download on the site. Another reason I support him.
The modern gothic theme of the Eternal Body Art site sets a dark, mysterious mood that appeals to the tattoo shop's customer base. This can be clearly demonstrated by viewing the sites two Flash photo gallerys of client tattoos and piercings.
The directions page uses Google Maps API to allow customers to view an interactive map of the shop. The entire site uses a fluid or scalable layout meaning the page will expand or shrink to fill the browser window on any size monitor or screen resolution.
Although Jag Engineering is only a single page layout it could easily be expanded when more content becomes necessary. The grid background and 3D folded effect with mirror reflection all serve to emphasize the construction aspect of this civil engineering firm.
The mayan temple logo and brown and tan spanish color scheme display the personality of the business and help to relate monumental achievements in the past with greater things yet to come.
The retro feel and green and brown color scheme send the message that this cooperative is going back to the basics. The earthy tones also mesh well with business's main product, Shiitake mushrooms which are prominently displayed in the header of each page.
The site has a full content management system that allows the business to change all text as well as add, edit, and remove products and product photos. These products are then made available for on-line purchase. Currently the site is undergoing monthly sessions of search engine optimization to drive more traffic to the site.
The giant tepee shaped building painted with native american designs set the tone for this site. The restaurant sits along side a passenger railroad and the train does indeed stop to eat there. All of the graphics were hand drawn by yours truly including the train, train tracks, the open sign on the contact page, and the map to the restaurant on the contact page.
The site also contains images of every native american tribal flag in their massive collection, their menu, a web e-mail form, and 3D tour of the inside of the tepee.
This professional single page site is for a professor at Texas State University. The university's colors and logo were clear and easy style decisions. The icons for each category were made by me in Photoshop. The overall simplicty of the site adds to simple and clear professionalism.
This type of site helps students get to know professors as well as promotes a professor's own publications. Many schools and universities don't provide such web services and for a small sum you can have a relatively large leg up on your fellow faculty members.
The orange and grey color scheme is based on the image provided by the organization seen in the header for the site. The handwritten font used for the titles around the site is meant to convey a sense of grassroots do-it-yourself activism.
The Conscious Living Project is completely database driven and used to organize volunteers for local Jackson, MS area projects. Apart from the CMS, the site has a user registration system, event management system where users can volunteer for different activites, a custom web forum, and an event calendar.
An industrial hard clean edged look was appropriate for this machining company. The blue and grey color scheme is their official colors and the logo was also already designed. The target audience are executives at large saw and pulp mills who have a need for Universal's carbide tipped parts thus some of the navigation and part names are not familiar to people outside of the industry.
The site has recently undergone some search engine optimization and traffic is already up 30%. They are #1 for many of their keywords and moving up quickly in several of the more contested keyword searches.

Apart from web development I also enjoy making animations, music videos, and anything else that finds its way into that part of my brain that doesn't stop itching until I get it out. I keep most of my video projects on my YouTube Channel.
This was an ad I made for KVR, the UT-Austin's Student TV station. I modeled and animated eveything using XSI 3D. I used After Effects for the text animation.
I made several other ads and animations for KVR that you can see on my YouTube channel. I also did several smaller 3D animations for them using Maya.
